In view of the problems that our Members face as a result of the bankruptcy of OW Bunker A/S and its subsidiaries worldwide, the American Club has prepared The Collapse of OW Bunker and The International Tail of Maritime Litigation Regarding the Supply of Bunkers. This document is intended to provide guidance regarding the bunker supply transactions, complications subsequent to OW’s fallout, maritime lien, latest legal developments, recommended actions upon receipt of claims by unpaid bunker suppliers, and loss prevention advice as to prevention against exposures associated with the supply of bunkers to the vessels.
