Standard P&I cover does not usually respond to liabilities caused by the presence of certain other employees on board an entered vessel, such as port captains and superintendents. This insurance covers the member's contractual liabilities to these employees during their travel to and from the vessel, as well as during their time on board. It would also cover the member's vicarious and contractual liabilities for damages caused by these other employees.
